I've done a few shows now and found that when I have to arrange different screens, titles and general logos, especially in multiview that a feature I would use on every show would be a 'guide' feature.

I would suggest something like a series of grids which could be switched on and I could scroll through and a 'snap' feature.

So that when I place lower thirds and small cropped inserts when I want them, I can then easily copy them to other multiview and add extra layers knowing they are all consistent through the production.

The switchable 'snap' feature would be useful. So if I have different pages which have different logo so, they could be 'snapped' to the same guide and I don't have to worry about making micro adjustments on the small preview screen.

What do people think?

While snap feature is beneficial there is a grid overlay available in the preview window

position data can be copied from the layer position settings to another one (granted not all at once)

or one can create a copy of your multiview by making it a virtual input where you change layer content that will have the copied position settings

just saying there are things available to help

Thanks, however wouldn't it be easier to be able to have a selection of grids to choose between and then make one a favourite, so you could design one for a particular show format and then call it up when you need it and objects could snap to the lines?
