G'day,

I've downloaded and installed the latest vMix update and have started having trouble recording.

If I switch to AVI there is no issue (except that the picture quality is sub-standard) but if I attempt to switch back to MPEG 2 format I get the following message:

"No combination of intermediate filters could be found"

"Recording_OK_Button
No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection."

Size: 1280x720
system: PAL 50i or 25p
bit rate 8
file format MPG
audio device vMix Audio
Audio format 48000 Hz 32 bit 2 channel
delay 0

This setup was working a week ago and I don't know why it's no longer working. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks.

In vMix Settings and under Audio change the audio bit rate to 16bit.
32bit isn't supported by most recording formats and is only there for users who
need the highest possible audio quality on AVI.

My sincerest apologies, the audio rate was already 16 bit (it is the only option in the box) which leaves my problem unresolved.

I intend to try and remotely uninstall/reinstall as I can't duplicate my clients issue on my own pc.

You will need to change it in the main vMix settings, Audio tab, not in the recording setup.

Thank you SO MUCH! That solved it.

I can't believe the learning curve involved in switching from Audio systems to Video systems. Without your help (and other members here) I'd have been completely lost.
