Hi everyone

I have to Stream a live show, and the final output will be a BG loop video (100% of the screen) with the cam switched over it (80% of the screen).

What would be the best way to do this ? I need to keep tally with cams.

How can I record my switching 100% without the BG loop ?

Thanks for your time, and long live vMix !

think one has to think a bit in reverse here sort of

do your regular switching as normal (output1) and record that
Load as input a NDI from output 1 ( you could also record that one)
Have your BG input multilayered with the NDI input (@ 80%), specify output 2 as that input and stream that

if you have the proper license for multiple outputs

Hi Doggy,

It works, but I have a large delay between my switching output (1) and my mdi input of this output, around a 1/2 second... which is a problem with the screen of the event (is on output 2)...

It seems weird that there is so much delay...

I know it works as i always check before suggesting ;-)

but is indeed NOT normal that you have a 1/2 second delay

btw you only mentioned for streaming not displaying locally , maybe there is a bottleneck there or does the same happens without streaming or displaying on eventscreen ?

Actually the NDI input itself is delayed. So when I create the multiview input with it it's already delayed.
As I'm just testing now, I didn't Stream, just watching on a HDMI screen to see if everything works first.

My i suggest you create a new post in the NDI section regarding this latency/delay

specify as much as you can about your hardware, graphics card used, video settings etc

Something is delaying it and it's not supposed to be delayed , definitely locally on the same computer

You can also check the NDI signal with the Studio Monitor from the NDI tools

Will do that. Same issue watching NDI Monitor on output 1... and a lot worse watching output 2...
