Was announced yesterday that SRT with H.265 format will be in vMix 23.. and will be out before end of year.. and DEMO beta will be available to try out and seen at IBC.

SRT with H.265 format is a killer combination, I tested it, and works very-very well, more robust transfer with less bandwith (I tested with external encoder + WOWZA).

Please add suggested SRT features here;
  • Multiple SRT inputs

  • Multiple SRT outputs syncronised - This would be GREAT for remote productions. 4 cameras are connected to vMix and vMix syncronises them and feeds them out as 4 SRT streams to a central switching and production room. Remote production is getting bigger these days because they don't have to fly staff all around the country.

  • Automatic mix minus when linking 2 or more sites, all sites link mix minus automatically. This will bring vMix into the world of high quality conferencing

  • Manual Buffer/Latency adjustment

  • Maximum bitrate setting (vMix auto adjusts bitrate below our chosen maximum depending on conditions)

  • Don't limit bitrate like vMix Call, allow up to 80mbps

  • Work on having the lowest possible end-to-end latency possible for linking 2 sites

  • Echo cancellation tick box built in for multiple sites to cancel out echo when linking sites.

  • This one would be massive - AN SDI<->SRT client for Windows or MAC. So remote site doesn't need full vmix, just load up the client, enter the IP and it starts sending / receiving video. Ideal for trouble free outside broadcasts.

Also: PLEASE allow direct IP:PORT configuration with SRT, not forced to use cloud.

Cloud could be a great thing to setup similar to Medialooks/vMix call but definitely allow IP setup too.
