I'd like to have four buttons on my AKAI APC MKII that light when an overlay channel is active with any input. I'll then make a shortcut to clear that overlay with the same button. For cleanup and visual notification which overlays are in use. I have the latest version 22....67

I have tried every variation I can think of with no luck to activate the APC40 LED when an overlay channel is in use (active).

*** This works for the overlay channel in generic preview, the button LED is illuminated when an overlay is previewed and goes out***
Control: Note
Channel:1 Note: 52
Event: Overlay4
Input: Preview
Type: AKAI APC40 MKII LED

*** This works when tied to a single input source, the button LED is illuminated when an overlay is active***
Control: Note

Input: 10 example.jpg (explicitly defining what is in the given overlay)
Type: AKAI APC40 MKII LED

*** This does NOT work ***

Am I missing something?
