We presently have an HD-SDI PTZ camera, a sanctuary projector, and an HD RF video modulator for a CCTV system. I would like to have the ability to mix in DVD video, thumb drive stored video, and route the output to the projector, a monitor, the video RF modulator, stream the content over the internet as well as record the programming to a DVD and/or a thumb drive.
I have considered using a video switcher as well as some mixing software but it occurred to me that I might be able to do it all with some capture cards and vMix software using a dedicated desktop PC for the DVD USB, etc. We do have a reasonable budget but it is not unlimited.
Clearly, I am a newbie to the video realm and any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
