Hi Melody,

When using firewire sources, the Audio Input in the Capture tab should always be set to "None".
This will use the audio from the firewire automatically.

Looking at the error message it looks like you are trying to select an audio source with the firewire device which will not work.

Regards,

Martin

yes, i tried to use "None" with those firewire sources but only the first firewire camera has loaded correctly and it shows me an error message at second firewire source that i sended previously.

after the first error i tried to select an audio input to saw if the problem was fixed but no way at once.

thank you for attention, regards...

Hi Melody,

Please send through the error report again.
The first error report related to selectin an audio device with firewire. If you select none, the error will be different and help us resolve the issue.

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,
I started the post about "dvd audio mixing or file" where the problem with the DVD audio has been resolved. Now there is another problem that continues to this "version 10".

I installed the "Vmix" on another laptop. When installing the "default audio renderer" is "Default DirectSound Device" and it works perfect. If you change the "default audio renderer" when I restart the program loses the perfect mix of sound output. After that, any choice of "default audio renderer" does not work perfect mix of sound output.

The problem is no solution as this image link:

Hi Melody,

Thankyou for the demonstration video.
What sort of camera is plugged in to the second firewire input?

The slow frames issue shown usually occurs when the input is paused.
If this is the case you can work around the issue by clicking "i" for the second firewire and unticking the "Self Render" under the Advanced tab.

Thanks,

Martin

hi,

both cameras are the same model, 2x sony fx7e (dv mode), firewire connected.

i tried to unticking the "self Render" under advanced tab of second camera and the results are:
1. cam 1 working now when cam 2 is in program;
2. cam 2 completly freezed, no movement detected (fps: 0, backup fps: 25)

i downgraded to v9 and all cameras are working well. regards,

melody

Hi Martin,

I can confirm this same result with the latest version 10 of vMix. In my case however, it was with 2 .avi video sources. I have ffmpeg installed and it decodes the files, I think, because I see the FFV and FFA logos appear in my system tray. Older versions of vMix do not do this.

Hope this helps,
Tony

Hi,

Could you both post the filter list for the camera and/or video that is only showing up as 5fps?

Click "i", go to Advanced and take a screenshot or note down the items in the Filter list.

Thanks,

Martin

Please try uninstalling ffdshow as it should not be used for DV decoding.
I'm guessing that if you tick the Audio box when adding both DV devices v9 it won't work either.

Martin

Does the second DV device work correctly when added by itself?

Thanks,

Martin

Hello ! I've a problem with the date in the AVI output file. The problem is the same for older version of VMIX. I've discover that the date who is write in the output file name is in reality pron the last file.

You can see this picture, it's more clear ;-)

hi omnisound,

see, the file name contains "name", "date" and "hour" (pm or am not showed) that you start the recording. the date showed on folder description is the moment that the recording is finished.

Hello. Sorry but i confirm there is a problem. You can see the duration of videos and the hour of the 2 last files on my picture. The hour generated by vmix in the last file is the hour of the file before.

let me explain with an example, using the file "saut - 07 - août 2011 - 05-09-55 .avi":

1. "saut" - name that you gived to your file;

2. "07" - day;

3. "août" - month;

4. "2011" - year;

5. "05-09-55" - "hour (pm or am clock)"-"minute"-"second" - this is the information about the moment of recording starts to this file;

6. "07/08/2011 17:11" - "day"-"month"-"year" "hour (24h clock)"-"minute" - this is the information about the moment that file recording has finished.

the big problem here is in folder description that doesn`t show the information about "seconds" in "date", finished recording in this file in the moment when it started the next file.

this is not a bug, folder description don`t show any information about "seconds" at "date".

melody
