Hi there. I've been searching both the net & these forums but cannot find any guide on how to get my virtual set designs (After Effects & Photoshop) into the format used by vMix.

It's driving me nuts as I'm sure that the answer is right in front of me but I cannot see it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

a vmix virtual set is made out of layers and i assume your photoshop set is also made out of different layers

check out the xml code of a existing vMix VS and you will notice that the coded lines are basically the layers (with a few added options within)

so basically you have to code your fotoshop layers(as separate images) into the layers of a vMix VS

check out also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxPZKwJu67U

there is also https://www.vmix.com/knowledgebase/article.aspx/78/adding-graphics-and-logos-to-an-existing-virtual-set

Hi All,

So I'm really trying to work out what is wrong with either my files and/or my .xml in this studio I'm trying to make.

The screen shows up way in front of where is should actually be! I have been through many .xml files in the studios that come with vMix and I cannot work out where I'm going wrong?

If anyone could take a look at my files and help me out I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

First of you need to position your screen correctly , easy way to get the coordinates is to change the position in the input settings layer2 in your case currently and transfer those numbers into your xml.

Something like this : <input name="Screen" x="0.009" y="-0.025723" zoomX="1.023" zoomY="1.095" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True" uvmap="screen-uv.png">screen.png</input>

and have the frame on top of that (line below the Screen one) <input name="Frame" x="0" y="0" zoomX="1" zoomY="1" rotateX="0" rotateY="0" rotateZ="0" dynamic="True">screen-frame.png</input>

Oh wow!

That is amazing. Just one question... How on earth did you work out the coordinates to move the screen into position?

Okay. Now it all makes perfect sense and I have everything where they should be.

Thanks a million mate.

One more question. I can replace the videos on the screens without using the uv maps... am I doing it wrong?

Also, is there a way in vMix to add reflections of my talent when they are standing and/or sitting?

Cheers
