Hi

I have VMix running 24 x 7 in a fully automated TV studio.
The problem is that we want to shut down VMIX overnight as there is no point in having the machine running at a high load 24 x 7.
If we can shut it down at 10pm and then start it back up again at 7am that would be ideal.

Is there a recommended way of doing this from a powershell or batch script that wont risk corrupting the config files.

For a 24/7 playout I would look into software that is build for it. Something like cinegy air, as an example.
If on windows I would recommend running vMix on a server OS. That is more robust and made for 24/7 as well. Seriously no system will run 24/7. You need to plan for maintenances for updates and patches. Minimum you would need a second system just in case. With all the work and hardware a cloud solution seems to be expensive. But if you build a real 24/7 TV station there is much more to invest.
