Hi,

I think I have added my media file correctly. At least I can play it in the preview window. However, when I press the 'streaming' button I get the following error message:

Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Selected video input device: vMix Video
Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Selected audio input device: vMix Audio
Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Audio source does not support the selected sample rate and/or channels. Re-sampling the audio to desired setting.
Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Error: Device Timecode not supported : The selected video device or the timecode dll provided for the device doesn't support timecod
generation. Disabling Device timecode generation option.
Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Resample Required.
Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Error: Invalid or disallowed resize settings. Try changing your resize settings.
Sun Oct 27 2013 01:32:04 : Closing Application.

I don't understand what I'm supposed to do.

My input movie is a mp4 h264 file. 1920x1080 size.
I'm using the test basic version of vmix so the output is set to 720x405.
Nothing helped if I changed the resolution of input file to 720x405. the same as output.
The very same error message appeared.

For the worse vmix is not recognized by FMLE either. I can only see tv SMPTE color bars.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Flash Media Live Encoder does not support 720x405 as a valid input size.
I would recommend changing this in vMix Settings -> External Output to 768x432

If you would like to use FMLE separately (without the vMix Streaming option) then the Start button will need to be clicked down the bottom of vMix next to "External"

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I do not insist on streaming via FMLE. Even though it's ok for me.
Actually I'm trying out vmix because of its multiple options.
Multiple inputs and the like. FMLE doesn't have all this.

So if I can use vmix only, that's fine with me.
But for some reason I can't.
And I don't understand the error message. What I do wrong.

As mentioned, you will need to go into vMix settings go to the External Output tab and change the Output Size to 768x432.
Then the streaming will work in vMix.

Hi,

Thanks for help. Setting the output to 768x432 helped. And streaming via vmix only went fine.

Now, please confirm if I understand this correctly that the basic free version of vmix works only
in this resolution.

If I buy any of the pro versions I will be able to stream in any other resolution including 640x360, 720x405 or higher. Is this correct?
