Hi all,

I have a question which might be easy to answer for some of you.
I've set up a live stream event on Vimeo live and was also setting up the stream on Vmix through the Vimeo API. The problem is that I can log into Vimeo but I can't choose any already set up streams. I signed in and out several times, but still no streams available. I hope somebody can help as setting up a new stream is no option because the players are already implemented on the web pages.

Thanks.

Hi,

if you setup your live event in vimeo, you have to use the custom rtmp setting in vMix and insert the adress and the stream key provided by vimeo.

You find this information when you click "next" in vimeo and select Connect (RTMP) nstead of webcam.

The vimeo API let's you start a livestream through your vimeo channel without having to enter all the information in vimeo beforehand.

Hope that helps.

Marc

Thank you very much for clarifying this. I thought it might be a bug in the API programming that I can't choose the stream.

I also found that if you access the event in Vimeo, it will then show up in the vMix drop-down menu. It's a bit strange, as you would think that it would list all the events that are scheduled in Vimeo, but it only displays the current event. Using the Custom RTMP function seems to be the best solution.
