Is it possible when deleting inputs to have the existing inputs that follow the deleted input to maintain their structure?

Example: I have 100 total inputs with input #100 being a graphic that I use to crop and build a scoreboard graphic that is identified as input #10. I delete input #75, thus making input #100 now input #99. Now input #10 is looking for data from input #100 and is unable to find it so I then have to go in and re-point all of the Multi-View layers. If you were to link these, and have a popup say that by deleting an input will impact other linked layers, do you want to link these layers or ignore could be extremely helpful.
