for the past 10 years I have been using a Magnavox consumer DVR typically used with your home television to create a 7 minute delay for sporting events. I feed my camera input to this, it records to a hard drive and 7 minutes into the recording I can hit play and for the next 12 hours this device outputs the recently record video. Magnavox has discontinued this product and I can no longer find anything to replace it. I am wondering if vMix can add or modify one of the video codecs so that I can record what I am ingesting into vmix and play back that file from the beginning while still continuing to record to that same file. I would be willing to pay for the development of this as it is a business critical service for me. I currently own 8 4k licenses and would entertain a proposal for development costs if necessary.

MartLeib is correct!
vMix calls this a "Time Slip"
