Being able to use VB scripts, or shortcuts for PTZ Speed and Position Speed values would allow us to move to different virtual positions at a variety of speeds.
This way we could sequence typical motions during a show, with variation and could easily be mapped to a button.

Please and thank you,

Bump. Camera controllers want fast and slow PTZ speeds.

I am also looking for improved support for ptz control.
More scripting control to create smooth movements between locations.
Control of manual focus within vmix. Manual, focus lock etc.
Further control of any further camera functions.
- aperture size, f-stop, ISO or other settings that could be saved with preset
- being able to change white balance settings within vmix could be helpful too.

I am currently using ptzoptics cameras over ndi. X box controller to control and save presets. Also have an old Microsoft sidewinder I use for some live control of ptz cans.

1 other minor issue I have is occasionaly calling a preset to preview on a camera that is already live. I also often do a playlist of my 3 camera angles and sometimes find that if I call a preset to preview from a camera that is not live just as the playlist is switching it makes that camera live (instead of the next input on the playlist) and shows the ptz movement live.

Thanks.

To add to my previous comment.
Having more control over pan, tilt and zoom speeds when calling presets or scripting would be great.

I'd like a buffer for inputs that are either automated or have another operator controlling it, so it stops anything happening for 3 seconds if you cut to it

+1 preset move speed per position or virtual input would be great.

Also would be nice to have a Tally on ALL Virtual inputs or PTZ position that use the same base source (main input and every virtual input). This would be to keep from moving the PTZ camera that is live on output accidentally.

+1, especially for the “tally” or some other method that prevents (or alerts a TD to) movement of a live PTZ source when any virtual or source input is previewed - to prevent accidental swish pans and other unintended movement. I often adjust a virtual input in preview prior to going live with it - and once it quickly moves to the new position (on-air!) I end up adjusting it live — ouch!!

I want to bring this up, I'd love to be able to have

- global PTZ position and zoom speed Shortcuts for inputs that I can set (a MIDI fader) that is taken into account when I click an input and a camera moves. My PTZ cams can do nice smooth pan moves and I'd like to be able to have a smooth (live) move between two inputs configured for the same PTZ camera.

- a separate PTZ speed Shortcut that is directly mapped onto the Speed faders in the inputs PTZ tab and taken into account when using PTZMoveDown etc.

Also need this to have different speeds on Preview vs Active. I maybe be able to do this with virtual copy, but haven’t tried yet.

I figured out I can set speeds in the shortcut. It was easy.

How are you able to set speeds in the shortcut? Are you talking about setting the position speed to be different for each virtual input, or are you talking about being able to set ptz speed via a shortcut? I would really like to be able to adjust the speed via a shortcut!
