Hey, All I'm looking at sling studio to stream some ski racing, I see some reviews that don't make me feel so confident about the system. I found Vmix on another forum but IM wondering how you could replicate the system. what hardware would you purchase??

vMix is incredibly robust and likely able to do what you want, albeit in a more complex manner that will require a lot of time to setup.F

What specifically are you looking to do?
