Hello,

Having a shortcut to fire a http request will be very useful in scenarios where we need to simultaneously control multiple vMix set-ups (using the http api) and also to use different web hooks.

Thank you,
Clement

Hi!

Both, 4K and Pro versions of vMix come with Scripting functionality which can do exaclty that. You start a script which does the http request.
If you do not have 4K or Pro version, I have used Web Browser input and shortcut which runs BrowserNavigate function to desired address. Just be careful, if you have multiple shortcuts and use single Web Browser input, some commands could go "missing" because maybe browser has not completed the request before you send a next one. If you want to send command to another vMix machine in the same network, it should not be a problem if you do not slam the shortcuts.
Requests to outside network could have this problem.

The Web Browser is a very nice (and smart) work around in the absence of 4K or Pro.

Thank you very much.

+1
For most users web API is a major feature of vMix. Consequently, the other way around for other apps would be of immense value.

Even though this can be obtained via the mentioned worksarounds, using direct shortcuts would be much easier. (plus available for editions below 4K)

As I see it the response from the request can be ignored by vMix.
