Howdy...
I think I've found a bug with the Virtual PTZ control when using a joystick in V22...
Let's say I have a 4K camera setup, and a virtual input copy that I want to use to 'punch in' on the 4K....
I can activate Virtual PTZ on the 2nd input, and use the little onscreen controls to zoom in and pan around... All good so far...
However, I have my Xbox Joystick setup to do the PTZ controls on whatever is in 'preview'...
If I have the main input in preview, the Xbox joystick works just fine...
If, however, I put the 2nd Virtual Input in preview, the joystick STILL zooms the main input #1. Not the virtual input...
I can still zoom the virtual input by opening the settings windows and using the PTZ controls in there, but I can't get the joystick to adjust the virtual input, even when it's in preview...
Can you confirm this for me? I don't think I'm doing anything wrong, but I can't figure out how to adjust the Virtual PTZ controls via the Xbox joystick when it's a virtual input that's in preview...
Hope that's clear! Let me know your thoughts...
Best,
Ben

Hi,
That is correct, PTZ control is only possible on the input connected to the provider. The virtual inputs are set to a fixed position only and can't be changed using the controller.

To clarify:
PTZ control IS available on virtual inputs, but not through the joystick... Must be done through the setting screen...
Hopefully this can be added in the future, as it would be super-useful! :)
Best,
Ben

Hi Ben,
That is not correct, unless manually connecting again on these virtual inputs, which will lead to unexpected behavior as these virtual inputs are designed to be a preset at a fixed position.

Well that sucks. My plan was to perform vurtual ptz on a low budget 4k setup.

I think there may be some confusion. To confirm you can just joystick control on Virtual PTZ, you just need to make sure you assign the shortcuts to the input that is connected to the Virtual PTZ, not any copies of that input.

So how do we control virtual ptz on 3x 4k inputs?

Connect to Virtual PTZ on each one, and when you want to adjust one with the joystick, place it in Preview.

OK that makes sense. Thank You.
One last question. Can we connect 3 joysticks to vMix and have each of them control 1 virtual ptz each?
