I often use Picture in Picture or multiview to show more than one input.

The issue is when I zoom in on the PiP or multiview, the image grows... it is not bounded by the size I originally set for the image.

Does anyone know of a way that I can have, for example, a camera in the lower right quadrant of the screen, and be able to zoom in on it (either with SetZoom or with PTZ) and still have it limited to the original PiP area?

Thanks Richard.

I mentioned the PiP issue to Martin quite some time ago in Atlanta, and he mentioned something about using MultiView instead.
I never saw any difference in behavior. However with PTZ being available for a range of input types, this becomes more important.
So I would really like to see a checkbox for PTZ, and Position, and PiP that sets the bounding box size.

Hey alan,

did anything changed about this topic? At the moment there are many productions where I need to zoom into a webex- or zoom-meeting.
Another possibility would be to add a "keep aspect ratio" feature when cropping and a "size to fit" button for the zoom. So you can easily crop your input and then resize it.

greets,
Mirco :)

Mirco,

No the PiP behavior has not changed… I don’t know what it would take for it to actually get worked on so a regular input when zoomed can behave similar to the way a PTZ input works when placed into a pip and zoomed via PTZ.
