I am looking for an inexpensive computer that I can use as a source for PowerPoint input into vMix. All it really needs to do is run PPT's and work with NDI. I saw this link in another post here, but am open to any small computer or laptop.

My 2013 Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop is a 3rd generation i5. Works fine for such things. I expect any current NUC would work fine.

The NDI based desktop sharing requires SSE instructions in the CPU. That means that CPUs older than about 2008 won't run it.

PS - Kinda brazen posting a Wirecast clip into a vMix forum.

It doesn't matter what software encoder you use. It work with vMix and all the others. I did the demo recorded with vMix and showing wirecast. Nowadays you have to be flexible. And everyone knows that there are other software encoder on the market. Let the features and stability decide. That's why I'm here and why i love vMix.

I have the little computer you linked to. I may be the one who wrote the post you reference. It has a rather limited CPU & GPU. It's enough to use it as an NDI monitor, but it's not so good as an NDI source.

For example, it can play a youtube video full screen (1080p30) but it cannot deliver that video to vMix via NDI. The frame rate is really slow.

I think you'd be better off with a used laptop for the same money. A laptop like my old Lenovo X1 Carbon (i5) can be had for around $199.
