Help.
I have a surface book 2 with 16gigs of ram. No reason why it shouldn't be able to handle this program. Any images I upload to use as graphics are very pixelated. The program lags very badly as well. I've been messing with the settings all over the place but can't seem to get this program to run smooth.
Other isues are mainly when trying to stream - the quality of the stream is horrible. Local recording is great. But the stream looks very pixelated. Set to 720p at 30fps.
Help please. Any articles or videos I can read/watch?

Really not a suitable device to run a program like vMIx...however. Start with the vMix website. Look at the recommended hardware specs....and the minimum requirements.
Then start working your way through the tutorial videos. See link on vMix site or search YT.
Read the HELP documentation and the vMix Knowledge Base
IMPORTANT for streaming! Use a WIRED ethernet connection. You will have to buy a USB to Ethernet adaptor and lose a USB Port.
Set the device to default to using the nVdia card when using vMix.
Make your graphics to the same resolution of your vMix Project where possible.
Search this forum for advice! There is a lot there.

Just out of curiosity. What's not suitable with my device to run the program? It meets and exceeds all the minimum requirements.

@ bradweber1982@gmail.comAlthough vMix will "operate" on minimum system specifications, you are not likely to get optimal results, as you have discovered. The Reference Systems are probably the best guide for knowing the type of PC required to run vMix reliably and confidently: https://www.vmix.com/pro...x-reference-systems.aspxThis Tutorial video on the website helps to explain some of that: Ice

Thanks Ice. Everything I read points me in the direction that my laptop should have no problems at all running the software. Can you point me in the direction of a video/article that goes over basic settings for running a livestram? Thanks!

@ bradweber1982@gmail.comIt is not real clear from your post what the specs of your system are... I would make sure you have optimized according to this article: https://www.vmix.com/kno...2/optimising-performanceIt is also wise to run the vMix Diagnostics app found in the Windows start menu vMix folder to make sure there are no programs interfering with vMix opertions. I find the best guidelines for streaming can be found here: https://support.google.c...ube/answer/2853702?hl=enIt should be noted that, AFAIK, Facebook only streams at a max of 720p, so sending them anything more is a waste of bandwidth. The vMix Tutorials give a pretty good overview of how to setup the Stream Settings in vMix: Ice
