hi, I'm new to vmix; outstanding program; i've got vmix hd

How can I quickly switch between multiviews / layouts?

I've got all my inputs set up; I need to switch between:

a) title screen image
b) closeup webcam of me w/chromakeyed background
c) PIP of chromakeyed me in lower right corner over desktop background
d) outro image

i have set up all inputs/position correctly; i just don't know how to set up
inputs into layouts/multiviews (what input type should be used for the main one
to setup multiviews in?) and then how to switch between various layouts/multiviews?

many thanks to any who can help! :)

@ graphicguy

I like to use Colour Inputs for creating my Multiview Inputs.
This video by Tim might help to explain some of that:

To seamlessly switch the various Overlays in your Multiview, there are a couple of options available to you, but the simplest is to create Virtual copies of your original and then just change the overlay source in the Virtual copy, when you cut or fade between Inputs, only your overlays will appear to change.

A more complex method is to use Shortcuts (and/or a control surface) as described by Guillaume here:

thanks very much; that's a big help. i wish i'd found vmix years ago; it's amazing... i've just used sony vegas for 15 yrs; produced 47 dvds & hundreds of videos; vmix would've added so much, easier workflow than nle's for broadcast type vid production + excellent key engine :) i'm loving this program; best one i've found in many years
