It's not uncommon for us to have project with 8-10 different files scattered around in different local folders, cloud-folders, USB sticks etc. (like videos and presentations for playback in conferences, images / logos etc.).

I'd really like to be able to consolidate projects, so that all the files in a given project, is gathered in one main folder on our vMix drive.

Is this possible to do ?

This would be a nice feature, similar to the was some video editors (e.g., Camtasia) let you archive a project to easily move it between computers or to back it up.

This should likely be moved to the feature request forum.

I do this manually, it's not difficult.

I have d:\vmix-projects folder. Shared over my network.
Then create a sub folder for each production, like yyyymmdd_projectX
Then several sub folders each containing/sorting required elements, like graphics, media, datasource, sound files and so on
And .vmix preset file is stored at this folder root

All necessary files are then copied from original source, may it be the same computer or another one

This way I can prepare a project on a computer, move it to another one if needed, easily archive and restore past projects and so on...

This is the very basic way to handle anything in a computer. I don't need softwares to do this for me. Just a good practice to get used to, it takes just a few seconds to manage

what I would like to see is that I can access a file or folder without having to load them into vMix, similar to how NLEs do it
