G'day.

Wondering if anyone has experience with external audio devices - we'd like to run 8 audio channels into vMix using a single audio capture device. Has anyone done this and can recommend a unit?

Cheers, Josh

No problem with my MOTU UltraLite AVB.
But any interface with ASIO drivers should work fine. Cheapest option is a Behringer UMC1820.

Agree with Ovinas. I've used a Behringer Audio Interface (UMC404HD - 4 input) for years and it works very well. Martin & Tim use the same one for the monthly vMix Fun Time Live Show, too.

I own a Tascam US-16x08 - 8x mic inputs, 8x line inputs, 8x outputs, and it works fine with vMix using the ASIO drivers to get access to all the inputs. Plus it has an internal DSP-based monitor mixer which can be useful too.

I have used a ZOOM R16 for a couple of years now. 8 XLR inputs (only Phantom power on 2) and it also works as midi faders with vMix. Powered through USB.
