Hi I have a Windows 8 laptop with a GeForce 635M Graphics card but VMix doesn't show it as a card to select in the Settings/Performance tab. I have set VMix to use the Geforce card in the NVidia Control Panel but whenever VMix starts up it resets it back using the Intel Graphics on the Motherboard.

I would like to sort this out because VMix performance is being limited by fact that the CPU is under too much pressure.

Many thanks

This card is not able to do what you expect.
vMix requires a GTX 7xx series minimum to take advantage of hardware encoding/GPU...

works with my 860m turn on optimus graphics setting, and also check in the Nvidia Control Panel, under manage 3d settings, program settings, then add vmix 64 , you can adjust your settings just for vmix there, power management mode should be maximum performance. check those things, the optimus setting should just turn it on, and will show in the drop down list.
