hi martin, recently i tested to use rtmp streaming feature of ffmpeg, using x264 on video and aac on audio and i need to say that i was realy impressed with this tool and his quality. martin, what you think about use ffmpeg to implement a streaming feature on vmix? ffmpeg is a realy amazing tool. it can relieve vmix in many features and reduce cpu usage please martin, consider this hypothesis to take vmix to another level. if you want, i can send you a syntax example to test with vmix (i maded that and i realy liked the final result) thks for your attention regards, melody www.espiritosanto.cc

The patent issues surrounding commercial use of ffmpeg prevent its use in our product at this time. We can license the x264 codec and offer a feature pack for around $150 but so far noone has expressed any interest.

hi admin, maybe the $150 will not so much by the quality and the options that it offers to vmix. at once we listen a lot about h264 (on FMLE and mainconcept mainly). x264 is a very recent video codec. maybe the general public dont know about it and about his excelent quality, thats why some people doesnt express any interest on it. in my opinion, ffmpeg and x264 will be one more BIG step ahead to vmix, saving resources on our computers and promoting compatibility and stability on vmix. martin, if you implement a rtmp streaming ffmpeg based feature i will be able to help you to test it on my server to see if it works fine. it will make a revolution on vmix, trust me. if is not ask a lot, please, think about to implement x64 vmix virtual capture. the performance can be growing up to make better use of x64 based OS. thank you for your attention martin, trust your great job... regards, melody www.espiritosanto.cc
