Hi,
I've got an NDI feed with a projector feed from another PC, coming in as an input in vMix. It shows up fine for full-screen or picture in picture etc. But I'm wondering if I have a conflict with settings that might cause problems.

The recording output is 1080p, and all inputs are set to this resolution. However, the NDI feed for this input is only 720p (I can't scale up the projector feed to 1080p because of equipment limitations). It scales up fine to the full size on the output.

But is it likely to hog cpu time, or cause other problems that I haven't seen yet? Is this practice ok in general, or to be avoided at all costs because it will likely cause problems later on?

Advice much appreciated.

If the source is only 720p there needs to be upscaling at some point in the chain. vMix can do it and it will use resources. But I guess that is the best option money/value wise.

Hi Mavik, thanks, that sounds like it is a normal part of vMix operation then, even if it takes up resources to do so. That's good. Thanks

vMix uses the GPU to scale. You will hardly notice it for a single input.
