Hi there.

I'm a very happy vMix user and fan.
We are trying to reach the best image quality possible on our live streaming sessions to Facebook Live in the "encoder settings" stage.

So my question is very specific:
We use H264, 720p, 4mbps, FFMPEG. In the menu "Streaming Quality" > "Video" we than have "Profile (Baeline), "Level (3.1)" and "Preset (veryfast)". Should we change any of these 3 fields in order to improve the image quality?

We have an excellent machine running vMix - https://www.vmix.com/pro...ce-systems.aspx#obsidian - so power is not a problem!

Thank you!

As per Facebook

What are the video format guidelines for live streaming on Facebook?

To Live stream on Facebook, follow these video format guidelines:

Recommended max bit rate is 4000 Kbps (4 mbps).
Max: 720p (1280 x 720) resolution, at 30 frames per second.
An I-frame (keyframe) must be sent at least every 2 seconds throughout the stream.
Titles must have fewer than 255 characters or the stream will fail.
H264 encoded video and AAC encoded audio only.

@ totalfreedom

This vMix Documentation page helps to explain those settings a little bit:
