hello everybody, we are using vmix for a long time, with vmix SD integrated in our old analog (composite) transmission chain.
Now we plan to switch the production to HD but in the meanwhile (still have the license for the SD vmix and in italy we plan to switch to dvb-t2 and h264 in a pair of years) i wish to trash the analog cameras and use our new hd ones (panasonic trough hdmi cables).
To acquire the signal in vmix i got black magic cards (intensity and intensity 4k) that from composite video could be switched to hdmi input.
Vmix will exit the anamorphic 16:9 signal in an rtmp stream to feed the encoder (mpeg2 anamorfic), but using all teh pci-express slots for the hdmi capture cards, i need to display PGM output to talents and control room.
Could i use the secondary monitor (DVI2hdmi cable) to feed an hdmi signal replicator and then go to 2 lcd screens?
How i can do that trick?
Thanks a lot,
Federico

Hi,
We are using up to 6 HD cameras with vMix 4K. We are using a Blackmagic deck link quad 2 with 8 SDI (6 IN and 2 OUT). At the moment all the inputs are HD and the 2 outputs are one in SD down converted by the Blackmagic deck link and the other in HD. The SD signal goes to the play out as a live in for the live production. The HD signal goes to a HD-SDI monitor in the production zone. In the vMix pc we have a GTX 1060 connected to 2 HD monitors for the vMix interface, lists, audio mixers and a third 49" monitor is used as a multiview. All this three monitors are connected using HDMI. The studio monitors are connected to a SDI-analog converter from the 1st output from Blackmagic card.
This is our set. I hope you can have some ideas.
Matteo

Yes, you can use a secondary output from your graphics card to send an "External" full-screen feed of Program video as an HDMI signal (and then split it/convert it externally to feed multiple monitors/TVs)

thanks a lot. Solved the problem.
Turns out was the power supply of my hdmi splitter/replicator.
windows could not detect the samsung lcd tv and so vmix could not activate the "full screen" :D
