In the preview, we are able to access different overlays to make sure our footage it correctly positioned but they aren't available on the live view. The reason I would like this is so when I'm running two cameras I can have them both positioning correctly and don't need to shift out the one I'm monitoring to make sure I keep my main camera in a safe configuration. In addition, it would be great if we could define our own "safe view" options as I do dance events I would like to create a "safe view" which works better for our problems.

safe view button would be cool - if there's a crash we have to play it back for the Marshalls but it's scary because we can't accidently play it out (we don't replay crashes out of respect for the community so it would be really bad)
if there was a button that meant whatever you're tinkering with absolutely won't play out I could definitely see us clicking it

That's a different but valid option. Could you not use replay and output 2 for that?


I was more talking about the safe zone overlay that is in preview but not in live.

eah that's what we do but you have remember what's what and it's still a bit scary and gets misclicked, a big bright safe button would be cool
