Good morning all.

I'm afraid I'm pretty new to all this and I may be asking a very silly question.

I'm using the basic version of vMix for the moment but I have a problem when trying to switch from a 4:3 flash file to a 16:9 mpg file. When the 16:9 film is switched from "preview" to "live" it leaves the top and bottom of the previous flash file on the screen in place of the black bars.

I suspect I'm doing something very silly but if somebody could point me in the rough direction then I'm happy to do some digging. (I'm just not sure where to start looking.)

Many thanks everyone.

Kind regards.

From Mike.

Hello Mikey,

When does this problem appear? Only during the transition or also after the transition has been completed?
Are you using any overlays?

Hi Yannick.

Thank you for the reply.

The problem occurs during the transition and also once the transition has finished. The background of the Flash file is blue so I end up with a 16:9 film with blue top and bottom borders. I'm not sure whether the Flash file is still "running" (as it were) because it's mainly covered by the film.

As for overlays, I'm not using them (as far as I know) although I wouldn't rule out that I've somehow enabled them by accident. (My stupidity is boundless.)

I'll take a photo this evening if it would be any help.

Many thanks for your help Yannick.

Kind regards.

From Mike.

Hi BETech.

Thank you for your reply.

I'm not exactly sure from the screenshot whether this is quite the same problem or not. My issue is that the "as was" preview (4:3) stays on the screen even after it's been transitioned to the new input (16:9) so both inputs are on the screen at the same time (but only in the top and bottom "black bars" of the 16:9 film - even after the transition has finished).

I suspect a picture would help so I'll get one on my return home this evening.

Thanks BETech.

Kind regards.

From Mike.
