Hi everyone,

I've run into a weird issue using vMix and the Behringer X32. I have a bunch of microphones on the mixers inputs, which I have registered in vMix and that's all good.

But if I mute or turn down the volume completely on Microphone 1 on the Behringer, then vMix still registers all talking and activity in the microphone, despite it being turned all the way down on the mixer.

Shouldn't the mixer control what vMix recieves and does not recieve in regards to audio? I am using the ASIO driver for the Behringer, and am a bit bummed out that the mixer is nothing but a glorified soundcard right now.

Google search for: behringer x32 usb tap point

Unless configured otherwise the tap point is right after the preamp so mutes and other channel processing will not affect the recording.

I am pretty sure you can change the tap point for the USB Sends in the X32 (at least that is possible in the XR18). Have a look in your mixer's manual.

Yea! But not all users know where to do what ;)
To clarify: In this case it is a setting in the mixer, not in vMix.

I'm actually using using two X32 Rack mixers (front of house and stage). Both are furnished with the Dante extension cards (replacing USB ones). Had to configure audio to Dante out on a separate mixbus as the levels for the Dante distribution had to be higher than venue itself. On the vMix station - Dante virtual driver configured as ASIO source.

Video stitching from three PTZ cameras and audio - all live streaming. Audio delay set to somewhat 91ms.

I'm not affiliated with Audinate, nor promoting it.

Hope this helps.
