These are effects I've made over the years batched into a single file that can do a variety of effects on video using the UV map function of virtual sets (these are not virtual sets). You need to load them like a virtual set, assign an input to the different layers, and stand back and watch your mind get blown: http://www.virtualsetwor...om/vs/vmix/UVEffects.zipEffects included are: Swirl SwirlMax Ripple Polar (think polar coordinates from Photoshop) Theta (for unwrapping the Ricoh Theta raw HDMI output) Flip Quantize 16x9 Quantize 32x18 Quantize 64x36

Great tip, by reducing the size of the source images and using your UV distort set it was possible to do this. Moving the source image then animated the warp and setting the set's alpha to 0 enabled keying it in another multi-view. I never thought non linear effects would be possible in vMix but it's been lurking there all the time! Now a live source in a set can be curved to match the set. Imagine being able to animate the UV files / warp with an image sequence. Thanks so much for this. How do the colours in the png files relate to the mapping ?

Here's a new one for you guys and gals, Blur and Noise www.vmixtraining.com/dl/UVEffectBlur.zipLoads like a virtual set (but is not a virtual set) Blurs you live video, select the same source in all the layers. Noise layer is optional (or solo for just noise)

I updated the link to include an http:\\ thank's for point that out
@Peter B - The red value delineates x source pixel and the green value delineates y source pixel so 0,0,0 draws from pixel 0,0 of the original footage 255,255,0 (UV maps are 16 bit so they don't use the 8 bit numbers I'm posting here but 8 bit is easier to wrap your head around) equals pixel 1920x1080 in a full HD source. So, you can get pretty crazy with what you can do in terms of effects.
Yes, an animated version would be even more mindblowing. The original Tricaster had animated UV maps and one example effect I created was a syringe sucking the video up into the syringe (which you could see inside the syringe cylindrically mapped after).

I don't know why vmix doesn't want to add blur preset - OBS has this in the add-ons and doesn't use the processor 100%

Hi I'm new to this UV mapping stuff. Can you give a tutorial on how to create or edit an UV map? I tried to use adobe photoshop but can only export 32 bit PNG, which makes the video broken. Can't find a software that can export 64 bit PNG :(

By 64 bit it means 16 bit RGBA, so a transparent PNG, as long as PS is set to 16 bit, then that will produce a '64 bit' file.
