Is there a website or video someone could direct me to -
to show me how to modify the existing XAML animated templates so that I could include my graphics etc.
Or a simple way to make these - so that I could easily change names in vMIx?
Or is this an advanced thingy?
I can make them in after effects -- but those cannot be changed in vMix -
so I was hoping to find a way to manipulate the existing ones (or create from scratch) to include my graphics
any ideas?

There are numerous threads on this topic. You might try the Search function of the forum. Search for Animated Lower Thirds, or Blend.

While I appreciate your help/non-help.
I was looking - and most are either super complicated xaml/blend tutorials - or downloads that don't allow for change - or AE stuff.
So again -
I was looking for a simple tutorial - or a simple way to replace the graphic on an XAML lower 3rd.
Not to mention it seems that Microsoft Blend doesn't even exist any more as a stand alone product.
But...
Thanks again.

i'm sorry but let's refrase TuesdaysLive: There are numerous threads on this topic. You might try the Search function of the forum. Search for Animated Lower Third is easy enough to dismiss a reply as "your help/non-help" when it appears you haven't even followed the advice you where given 10 minutes before Many post give simple solutions, links , ideas, leads, examples etc more than 10 mins worth of reading Have you even looked at the code of a basic title ? other options to search for , "control xaml" , oh and changing basic titles can be done with a basic text editor to like notepad https://forums.vmix.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=47

As I had already stated - - A LOT of them don't seem to be helpful - I looked at a lot
after 15-20 min of searching - I decided to post
Microsoft Blend doesn't even seem to be a separate thing any more.
Most of the posts are over a year old -
and if my only option is to learn XAML - then that's not an option for me.
I was asking to see if there was an XAML animated title editor or something like that.

Quote:Most of the posts are over a year old and still applicable , no need to repost them ? Quote:Microsoft Blend doesn't even seem to be a separate thing any more no is part of the free visual studio as mentioned in several posts Quote:if my only option is to learn XAML well if you want to change things a basic understanding of it is a needed option as with any type of coding Quote:after 15-20 min of searching granted any language one is not familiar with look dounting as it did to me but takes more than 15-20 minutes of research Come to that that vMix xaml has it's own little quircks so many times the same thing is asked over and over that the older relevant posts get obscured in the searches this could help to learn xaml before transitioning to vmix titles animations , it did for me not so long ago http://kaxaml.software.informer.com/1.8/

I appreciate the help here.
I am surprised no one has created a Xaml GUI simple title interface w some basic transitions and elements.
This definitely seems way too much for me to deal with - but again thanks for the link and info.

There is the vMix title editor
Granted it doesnt take care of animations but it does allow to add/edit/position text fields and add backgrounds and/or graphic elements Transitions are taken care of by vMix itself with some of the being an animation sort of
don't get carried away to much with animations in a title , it soon becomes a bit to much and imo more often a disturbance but guess taste vary according to continent ;-)

I am pretty familiar w after effects so I am not needing an animation software.
The reason I was looking for Xaml based help is because I like the real-time updating ability of them.
The vmix title creator is great - but doesn't do any animation - but I love how you can change names on the fly as we need to do this often.
So now - when it happens - I need to go to a different computer and run after effects to create the new animation and port it in - or use the NDI Adobe thing - but those are much more complicated solutions than if I could just type a new name in on the title editor

you seem to mixing up things , at least the way its described, as like you make it sounds one needs a title xaml editor to real live update data in text locations but at the same time you talk about animating or changing designs of titles
I am confused

Are you?
After effects animated lower 3rds that include the names and titles of the guests.
They cannot be live updated.
XAML lower thirds can also include titles and names - and can also be updated.
They CAN BE live updated.
Does that clear it up for you?

oh it is clear , one wants vMix to be able to do everything while it already allows you to do everything by not only using vMix alone
one can learn how do add/create/change or just buy ready made or to order
you have been given honest helpfull answers and yet keep "complaining" about lack of

Thanks for your fantastic insight
It's what I have come to expect from this forum.
As VMix already has an xaml based title editor. I asked - as a newbie - a question based on xaml titles
But thanks for the extremely helpful response. You are a fantastic individual. Whom I respect as a person.

appreciate your gratitude.
It has been stated in previous post that it is not the goal of Martin and his team to focus on title editing as there are more suited specialised tools for this.
I for one have found the forum very helpfull over the years and lots of times a lead has been given to me to help me on my way to further investigate and learn how to do things. in return have often given back result of learning as do many others.
The sad thing is it seems a recent trend that rather to be given a lead a ready made solutions is demanded as an answer. Working example codes were posted to work from to which some even had the odacity to claim the given code was wrong and after taking in all the pieces suddenly become professional coders and title designers. The funny thing even the code was simply found by googeling but lets say poster was not familiar with google ;-)
that combined with the repeated questions over and over to which there is a trove of info to it in the forum or the links posted there in or other sources should one wonder the hesitation is growing to give a solution (while there is already anyways)
Rather than asking help or info to which this forum has been one of the best i have experienced so far it looks more like; can you look this up for me or fix it for me. While i understand that researching the given leads takes up some time as does learning and understanding it the same counts for those trying to help you on your way.
One might not always find the anwser to be a direct solution but believe me the referals and suggestions are well intended to help you on your way. I for one have accepted any response to my questions as a valuable one even if it didn't fullfill my whished outcome. Any lead is a good lead to the final answer and i am not even a professional user but i also value my time
vMix is a wonderfull product, with open posibilities if one is willing, and a wonderfull community
off the box
no there is not a simple title animation editor , but one can have wonderfull ones by buying them or learning to create them and using the tips and hints found here in the forum. If one is stil stuck then or it's a matter of brainstorming for a posibility many will help you out here.

I've had to lock this thread due to obvious reasons.
Remember Ralph, this is a community forum where people volunteer there time to help others. They really don't have to reply at all, and it is to their credit that they tried to help!
If you want official help, drop us an email, otherwise please be considerate on this forum.
Thanks,
Martin vMix
