Hi,

is it possible to use other client for remote desktope capturing than vMix's current NDI client?

Maybe an older client before NDI appeared?

I'm on vMix 20.0.55 now.

The reason is, sometime with the current RDC client vMix findes too slowly the sources. And as I see sometimes not refreshes speed enough nor if I use Gbit cabled network....

My understanding is that the NDI version of desktop capture replaced the older version. You can't use the older version with newer releases of vMix.

Here's a slightly obtuse alternative - you can use a third-party desktop capture application, like DeskCamera.

These sorts of tools make the desktop appear like an RTSP stream to your network. they essentially make the desktop capture look like a surveillance camera. The original purpose is to allow a cash register desktop to be recorded to a large NVR, along with all the in-store cameras.

Still cheaper than a hardware-based approach to capturing the desktop.

I would suggest contacting us via email if you are experiencing issues with NDI desktop capture.
NDI is more reliable and faster for desktop capture than the old vMix Desktop Capture, even on slower networks.
