Hi,

I have a small but stupid problem with vMix since version 17 - and somehow it is getting worse with every new version.

My problem is that the "rtsp input" as well as "audio input" get black or mute every one or two days. Then I have to right klick on each input and "reset" it manualy.

Is there a way to automaticaly reset both inputs at certain time?

Thank you!

Hi,

If you are seeing an rtsp input turn black, then this likely indicates a problem with the encoder.
When the rtsp input fails, it will always show the most recent frame, so black indicates the encoder is sending
blank frames for some reason.

It is worth noting that we haven't made any changes to the RTSP input since vMix 17, preferring either NDI or the new VLC
stream option for broader compatibility moving forward.

So if you are seeing things getting worse, that may indicate a system fault of some kind.

Regards,

Martin

After reading the manual, specifically the shortcut references, there is a method to use a shortcut to reset an input.

It may be worth looking into.

Stream inputs will automatically reset if both the audio and video stop coming through.
So if it is not resetting it means either one of those are still being sent from the encoder.

Hi,

What would be the API function to restart/reload the channel 1 and 2?

http://192.168.1.171:8088/API/?Function=Restart

Is that the correct API or is restart something else?

Thx
Regards
