I un installed and re-installed and changed my bios to turn off secure boot. The drivers install but none of the applications will start. windows 10 pro build 1803 X99 Ndi Tools worked prior.

I installed the 3.5 tools as well and I could ingest a connect spark after that. SO works at my end. Just to clarify that it might be more a local issue that you have.

Is the system in question a laptop with multiple GPUs?

If so, you probably have to direct NDI Scan Converter to one of the GPU's. On my laptop it was the Intel, not the nVidia. What model GPU is in the system, some old GPU chips might work on Windows 10, but not have the capabilities to support the GPGPU processing needed.

In those cases you will have to use the old NDI Scan Converter which you can still get by downloading NDI Tools Portable.

Just for reference in this thread, we have determined that some parts of the NDI 3.5 *applications* from NewTek for Windows may require OpenGL 4.5 and DirectX 11 and possibly at least 2GB of GPU memory.

You can check your own system by downloading GPUZ
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

The requirements above are specific to those applications themselves, generally for getting image from the screen or to the screen or for compositing on the GPU.

It's important to clarify that none of this is fundamental to NDI itself which does not require *any* GPU, only a couple of fairly basic features in the CPU.

thanks 1 user thanked livepad for this useful post.

That's interesting that it should be related to audio software. When I first received the NDI 3.5 beta I had a problem with my NDI software crashing if I used the v3.5 "Processing.NDI" DLL, and that turned out to be a conflict with the Nahimic audio software that was pre-installed on my MSI laptop. Updating to a newer version of Nahimic cured it, but at the time it was an unexpected conflict.

Not much to add to this, but really impressed with the new scan converter compared to the previous version.
