Seems I'm pretty snake bit these days, we had a show and was actually unable to broadcast due to terrible audio. Using a UMC1820 for inputs, and some embedded SDI video sources, we had studdering audio, popping in and out, despite verifying that the source was good. This was present on both embedded audio and analog audio, so it rules out the UMC1820. I restarted the entire PC and it resolved for maybe 5 minutes, then returned. The stream studdered as well and dropped frames with only 55% CPU usage.

Any ideas what might cause this issue?

Hi Spencer, if you put more delay/buffer it should go away - we had it too, the video came through fun but the audio wouldn't and we couldn't understand how that would be first to go, as far as I know it needs a little longer to encode a video audio signal vs if you just sent video

Do you see dropped audio samples in the stats? And what hardware are you running? Sure you put the usb soundcard on a usb port which is not shared with other high bandwidth devices on the same roothub?
