Streaming facebook comments form a group

I recently did a stream on facebook with vmix social to pull in the comments which worked extremely well. However, this was from a page (live comments), and I need to pull the live comments from a group. Has any one else ran into this problem?

Yes, I've run into that problem. I think Facebook has restricted the ability to grab comments from Groups. I think it has something to do with their latest privacy policy. It couldn't even grab comments without the name or photo of the person posting the comment.
One not-so-easy workaround that I'm thinking of trying is to simultaneously stream to a second Facebook page using RTMP (if that's not against Facebook's terms; not sure), or to simultaneously stream to a YouTube channel -- and then, using a browser window, copy and paste the comments from the Facebook group to that second Facebook stream's Page (or YouTube Channel) and bring the comments in that way. The comments won't have the person's name or photo, but at least I'd be able to bring in comments (theoretically -- I haven't tried it yet).
Again, not great, but maybe a germ of a (bad?) idea?
