Curious if anyone has used this capture device, it looks the same as a Magewell USB capture device, wondering if the price is too good to be true, or if it would work with vMix since the Magewell works great. https://www.amazon.com/g...28ad9&pf_rd_i=280341

I have one like this. Works fine in Vmix. It warms up a bit when you use it. On Aliexpress you can buy it cheaper. Capture Card USB 3.0File Attachment(s): HDMI_CAPTURE_USB30.png (2,732kb) downloaded 12 time(s).You cannot view/download attachments. Try to login or register.

These device, usually, doesn't supports 50p or 60p.
I did not say that they "do not accept" 50p or 60p as input, but that output stream is always 25-30p.
These devices have a scaler that converts to 25-30p, then an internal MJPEG encoder it converts in very low quality stream. This stream con be imported through even USB2 without any problem.
Therefore, these devices have two HUGE problems:
1) no 50-60p (neither 50-60i) stream output 2) low quality MJPEG output
These devise, anyway, have a GREAT feature: works with ANY input signal. Works anyway, even if we change frame rate or resolution, on the fly!
Try to import 1280x1024 60p with a blackmagic: impossible. Try with a cheapest USB: it works.
Question is: do you know a USB3 dongle that really supports real 60p output streams and it doesn't stream in MJPEG?
Ok, except Blackmagic Design Intensity Shuttle HDMI USB 3.0 :)
