I have the same problem when I try to use graphics acceleration, while with the integrated video card working properly.
I have updated windows to version 1803.
My video card (on the laptop) is Nvidia gtx 1060 with the latest 397.31 drivers.

Hi,

Please try the new 21 beta:
https://forums.vmix.com/...aspx?g=posts&t=14691

If you don't want to use a beta, the only fix at the moment is to roll back windows update until a fix for 1803 is available.

Regards,

Martin

I got this yesterday too. Changing the Nvidia driver didn't fix it. Every time I start vMix it checked and enabled optimus graphics, and I'd get the error. There was no way I could get vMix to start using the Nvidia GPU without it enabling optimus graphics prompt. Rolling back to 1709 fixed it.

Win10 Pro
Core i7 - 4700HQ
Nvidia 850M
8gb RAM

Hello guys faced with subj issue a few days ago with major windows 10 update.
tried different approaches to fix it based on forum solutions - nothing helped.

nvidia drivers updates
DirectX updates
different versions of vmix 20

The only what has fixed issue was a rollback to previous windows build.
Windows Settings-> Update & Security -> Recovery -> Go Back to Previous version of Windows 10

What worked for me is to remove the Asus sonic and radar software. Once removed the error was gone and all is good.

I did not get a start error but...

I updated my Asus laptop computer (with a1080ti graphics) to the most recent Windows build and that went well.

On a Dell desktop computer, things did not go so well after the 1803 update.

After the windows update, my graphics card (nVidia 1050ti) driver would not load, so all video went back to a virtual graphics card (a really really bad way to render graphics).
VMix CPU usage was horribly high... not a surprise when it can't find the video card hardware.

Downloading the latest nVidia driver from their website solved the issue on my desktop computer.
