I am trying to mix a PowerPoint and a Video into one. How do I keep the video file playing when I switch between the video and PowerPoint?

Click the "i" button, under "General" settings tab, make sure the "Automatically Pause after Transition" box is NOT checked.

Thanks, the video keeps playing but also need audio from it to keep going. The audio silences when I switch.

Open the Audio Mixer by clicking on the speaker button at the lower right on the bottom panel, locate your video input volume control and de-activate the double arrow button (not green), this disconnects the input from default behavior when transitioning to and from program. You will also have to Activate the speaker button (green) to insure that the audio for that input is always on.
Hope that helps. Another option might be to use your powerpoint as an overlay. Experiment and play around, it's pretty amazing what you can accomplish.
