Hello Everyone,
Does the entire vMix world live within the videos? Or can a shortcut (for example) control what appears on a page that a live vMix video might be embedded in.
For example, I would like a shortcut to trigger a embed code on a page right below (or to the side of) a video.
It would be an eCommerce "Buy Now" button allowing a person to buy a product shown in the live vMix video.
Is this even possible in vMix?
Thanks!

Saw a post recently in one of the FB groups where there was a test with a video interaction point , basically a script responding to a colored square within the video (link to the video doesnt work anymore sadly ) EDIT: demo was moved http://iap.atletiktv.dk/

Hi
Thanks! Looks interesting. I’d also just now saw the thread about this I think in the Streaming Idiots Facebook page.
I am not a programmer but I am going to ask some questions there on how to add this functionality to a, for example, a Wordpress site.

You would need a static IP assigned to the streaming PC, then embed static IP into the webpage to be able to send commands to vMix, So yes it would be possible via web page to control all web api functions implemented in vMix. rowby wrote:Hi

A shortcut executes a script, the script can do pretty much anything, one way or another. Maybe it won't be able to do directly what you need in your webpage, but it will certainly be able to trigger/update something that your webpage uses, it's all a matter of creating the right code on both ends.
