This blows my mind. In my setup I have the following:

2 MATROX MXO2 LE devices (on separate PCI-E Cards but vMix refuses to see both)
Decklink Duo (2 input 2 output)
Decklink HD Pro Dual Link (this is a PCI-X card and is older than everything else).

External settings do not work on the Dual Link card but do with the Duo card. I can't use the Duo for output on my show this week so I need the dual link card to work here. Otherwise VMIX locks the duo card if you use 1 channel for input you have to use the 2nd for input as well.

I have tried a multitude of resolutions and formats and still nothing.

All I get is: HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component. This happens when you enable output.

Its crucial I get this working. I have to also run the following cameras into the system so thats why its like this.
2 SDI Cameras
Hdmi Gopro connected to MXO2 HDMI Input
HDMI Camera with aja adapter to SDI (150' run on this camera) with SDI to HDMI converter back at the PC so I can use the 2nd Matrox MXO2 Hdmi input.

Just use the HDMI out from your graphic card. It has less latency and it just works.
If needed, use a splitter to feed your PGM monitor and the remote screen at the same time.

this way you can have
- 2 SDI cams on DUO
- GoPro on MX02
- HDMI cam on HD Pro

Have you confirmed that multiple Matrox MXO2 LE devices can be used in the same system?

Do they both appear in Device Manager?

Matrox were never big on DirectShow driver support - it tends to be a bit of an afterthought at best - so I wouldn't be surprised if the DirectShow driver for the MXO2 doesn't support multiple devices. After all, these devices were very much intended as I/O devices for NLE systems, which is why the Matrox softare includes specific plug-ins for Premiere & Final Cut. In those circumstances you would only ever need one MXO2 on a system.
