 The app features dual monitor windows, each of which is derived from a separate selectable NDI source. Display options include False Colour (from a choice of 2 LUTs) and a (currently experimental) Waveform Display on the left-hand screen. Check the Readme for details of how to access this semi-hidden feature. Subject to user feedback, this will be incorporated more fully in future versions. v1.0.0.2 is now available for anyone who would like to try the app (for Windows) - www.zenvideo.co.uk/ndi.htm

Hi Martin thanks for all your work. I finally found a little time to test this one. Maybe one suggestion for the false color mode is to add a chart explaining the meaning of the IRE values like it is done on many false color monitors. Ex : Thanks again. Your tools are just great! Guillaume

Yes, it's on the ToDo list, having also been suggested/requested on Facebook (via the ZEN NDI Software group page, I think). However, it's probably not going to get done until after NAB, given that I leave in a few days time.

Well done. Would be possible to have an option of a single screen where the waveform is overlayed on the unprocessed image. This would make it easier for people new to waveforms to see the relationship.

What I was thinking of was an option to have the waveforms displayed below each image (when the waveform display option is selected). That way you at least have vertical alignment between the image and the waveform, making the relationship between brightness and picture content a little more obvious.

I was thinking the same thing, that would work too.
If you had a single window waveform or false colour option that could be placed over the PV display and toggled when needed.
Another display could be only the CrCb components to help with colour matching and white balance.
Would being able to monitor the vMix external2 Directx stream without having to use NDI save some system resources if using one PC or a laptop ?

Thanks! Will look into this, stumbled on missing DLL's. Noticed later on that you on your NDI page offer a link to Microsoft's run-time package. Consider putting that into the readme too. Meanwhile, here are what's missing in the pretty clean Windows 10 install I tried on: mfc140u.dll MSVCP140.dll VCRUNTIME140.dll

It is now in the ReadMe for each app, as from a couple of days ago (3-Apr). FYI, here's what happened. Due to the sudden rise in downloads from my site, for the first time ever I exceeded by hosting plan's bandwidth limit before the end of the month, causing the service to be suspended with no access to the site or mail server, on the last working day before Easter, for half a the day - not good! My "quick fix" was to remove the Microsoft run-time installer from each of the application .zip files, since it was by far the largest component of each one, and you only need it once for all the apps. Plus some people might effectively have it, as part of the installation of other software. So now it's available as a separate download via a link in the Installation Notes near the top of the zenvideo.co.uk/ndi.htm page. Getting round to modifying the ReadMe files took a little longer... BTW, I'm now in LV for NAB (until 14-Apr), so not in my normal UK time zone, should anyone wish to contact me.
