On Monday, March 12, MS did a major update and now vMix does not see my PTZ cameras. I updated the drivers for both of them. One gives me a green screen and the other is black. For a while Desktop Capture would not work either. I have been unable so far to uninstall the MS update. Has anyone else encountered any problems like this?

Are you using the latest version of vMix?

I am on version 20 but probably not the latest update which I will install on Friday to see if that changes anything.

Problem seems to be resolved. Updated from 20.0.0.44 to 20.0.0.55 and uninstalled all capture devices and drivers. Re-installed them and all seems to be working correctly now.

MS does not always give you the option to not update Win 10. If you know of a way to prevent the updates, please let me know.

I’m not near my PC but there should be an option to mark your connection as “metered”. This will allow you to choose when you install updates. There are more aggressive ways to lock down the process as well. But this is the best first step to try.
