I am having a weird issue.

I have imported an MP4 video.

I made a trigger that at the end of that video - it should play another video.

It just doesn't do it.

Other triggers work - but that won't.

Does it not work w MP4s?

Anyone else have odd trigger behavior?

I haven't experienced this

my only thought is, are you trying to trigger a video from the same list? that might bug it out. So to work with what im saying it would trigger a video in another list input

Hi iamralphsutton,

What is your trigger? Is it "On Completion"?

My trigger was on completion.

I think I figured it out.

At least this seems to be it.

You can't have a multi view input work w an oncompletion trigger.

Is that it?

I think that's why it's not working...

@ iamralphsutton

That is correct, "Triggers" only work on the actual Input that is Active in the Program Output, not on Overlays or Inputs within a MultiView or Virtual Set.

Hi Ice

That’s a “quirk” that should be addressed in the User interface.

If a trigger is not possible in a multi view setup then it should be greyed out and not useable.

@ rowby

There is nothing really to "grey out".
It's not that the Trigger doesn't work on Inputs using the MultiView feature, it's that it won't "Trigger" when the Input with the Trigger is used as an Overlay or within the MultiView feature of another Input.
"Triggers" are applied to a particular Input and will only Trigger the desired function when that particular Input is the actual active LIVE Input in Program Output.
A workaround for iamralphsutton's situation is to build the MultiView on top of the original video clip, that way when the video clip finishes playing, another video can be properly Triggered.
So the long and short of it is that the effect he wants to achieve is certainly possible with a Trigger but requires a lot of creative use of Virtual Inputs and thinking "outside the box".
