Hello Everyone,

Are there any advantages or disadvantages of bringing in my vMix Calls on a second computer on the network.

Or is it better if you to do it on the same main computer. I’m thinking of a second computer for my vMix Calls — to reduce cpu useage on the main vMix computer, for example....

If using a second computer what is the best way to do it — bring it in via desktop capture or by another method.....

Best,
Rowby

Definitely easier to use vMix Call on one PC especially for the audio.

Thanks, Tom,

BTW I did my vMx upgrade just now on your Eastern Shore Broadcasting site. http://easternshorebroad...egory/vmix-20-upgrades/. Nice and easy!

have a back up too, our whole interview setup is based on vmix call and a few weeks ago it stopped working on the comps we use when I got everyone in for a training day (in chrome) I assume from a browser update which is out of anyone's hands.

Hi Barney,

Is vMixCall working for you again? Which browser(s) are you using?

In your recent situation, what "backup" did you use, if any? Google Hangouts?

If it was something like Google Hangouts -- were you able to bring Hangouts into vMix as a single imput and show multiple participants' videos? (and how did you handle audio...)

as an interview set up it meant we were using it within the network so we effectively had the seperate parts on standby, so ndi monitor on the call tablet and then whatever backup camera, so I've just realised I'm not sure what I'd use as a back up for how it's typically used to remote guest in.
it's in chrome and on Windows 10, it's either and update or a setting that's been changed and stopping it from an update but one day it just didn't work, but still worked on mobile so that could be your remote guest back up.
