Hi
I'm you Vmix on a desktop with a BM SDI 4 input card for sometime know a getting great results.
Being using ndi just for computer presentations on basic network
What to upgrade to use ndi cameras with the existing computer system and have Gigabit network setup.
The network will consist of x32 digital snake, 2 PTZ cameras 4 laptop for graphic and videos monitoring live stream and ndi program output to feed for auxiliary room
What network devices needed to built a solid network : switch poe or poe+ manage unmanaged, cat6 cat6a cat7, WiFi Router to do some wireless connections.

Newtek's recommendations are for a managed switch to be able to turn IGMP snooping off, POE+ if you want to use power over Ethernet and gigabit switches and cabling. So cat5e abnd above. You will find all of this info and more if you do a search on this forum before posting, and also as NDI is a Newtek product check their documentation: http://pages.newtek.com/NDI-Getting-Started/
