Both OBS and Wirecast offer the option to have Hotkeys set to "Global" (Hotkeys are like Shortcut keys in vMix). That is, react the the key even though the application (OBS/Wirecast) is not currently in Windows' focus.

I would like to see a similar option for vMix's Shortcuts, eg called "All applications"? (since Global in vMix refers to somethings else).

Besides the expanded usefulness when using regular keyboards, this option comes in very handy for special keyboards like the Elgato Stream deck.

I am really disagreeing to this.

With any MIDI controller or X-keys, you can achieve this and having all functionality on this additional keyboard.

For me it is very dangerous to use the regular keyboard for production switching and whatever functionality you want to have, and I do not recommend this. It can only lead to confusion and problems during productions. Even just when vMix is in focus, I don't like to have anything shortcuts bound to the keyboard keys, since you can by accident hit some keys if you perform high paced navigation to perform some specific task.

Jens, I appreciate that you share your point of view. But maybe I was unclear. I want an "option" (default NOT global shortcuts). So if you don't want it you wont get it.

The Stream deck is not Midi, nor X-keys. Rather a really cool, cheap, and useful control board. And its buttons have programmable graphics (no need for sticky notes...). Another thing we use is a simple wireless numeric keypad, which works great (as long as vMix is in Window's focus). Our current workaround is to use an AHK script (which does global key grabbing and sends whatever it does not use forward to vMix.

Furthermore, I don't think that an implementation of your request Fullscreen MultiView - Touch Ability would work without vMix catching clicks that are made when vMix is not in focus. Or, maybe I'm too ignorant - members/developers will tell ;)

All the best and have a great weekend! I'm said that I did not go to IBC to meet with you...

+1 to this request. StreamDeck has a lot of potential that should be able to be exploited.

As I think was mentioned in the Q&A of the most recent (Apr 2018) FTL Show, the ball is still in Elgato's court with regard to Stream Deck and vMix. Without Elgato getting round to offering an API for vMix to use, it's not really feasible to add support for it, as far as I understand it.
