Hi guys, I just purchased the AJA lo 4k Plus and was wondering if anyone has had the chance to get something live or streaming with it. There is still some software programs that aren't compatible, but wondering if anyone has found a program that does work with it?

Hi,

As an update, we have received the new Io 4K Plus and begun testing it.
Due to the new advanced capabilities of this device (6G/12G 4K support) a new plugin needs to be built for vMix in order for it to be detected.

Development has begun on this plugin but it may take a few months to complete, so not ETA at this stage.

Regards,

Martin

Since there hasn't been a reply to the last comment asking about a general timeline on support for this unit, I wanted to just confirm that there will definitely be support coming?

I also purchased an Io 4k Plus assuming that it would work, or would be supported soon since it's a nice jump up with Thunderbolt 3. So I've got one sitting in a box in my studio, and I just want to make sure it will be supported, or I may see if it can still be returned.

I'm not concerned if it isn't ready right now, or trying to be a pain....just a little worried I have a $2500 piece of hardware that I might not be able to use. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Has anyone used the AJA IO 4K Plus with vMix 21 successfully?

I have a Acer Predator laptop I’m looking to use with the AJA unit and wondered what the experiences were for anyone that has one. I can’t find anything on here or reviews on YouTube about using it with vMix so hopefully someone can say it has been good for them here!

Cheers,
AJ

It is officially supported by vMix, and therefore it should work for you.. https://www.vmix.com/sof...are.aspx#capturehardware

Just a quick update. I received the AJA IO 4K Plus yesterday and it didn't take long to get a camera signal coming through to vMix perfectly on my Acer Predator laptop (it has a USB-C port that supports Thunderbolt 3).

I tested 4 cameras in all of the SDI inputs and again, all good :)

I have a DB25 to XLR breakout cable that goes into the back of the AJA and found that when I added cameras the XLR audio coming in stopped working. It just randomly muted.

The fix for this was to make sure the AJA Control Panel is downloaded. Once the inputs are all in vMix, go to the AJA Control Panel and under the Audio settings make sure the dropdown is selected to Analogue. The audio will then come through vMix. Hope that helps!

Hello
we have the AJA 4K IO Plus with PC HP ZBook G4 I7, let's face some problems

- crash of the Vmix interface when using the SDI 3-4 as output, the best stability being to use the SDI 1.
error message: recording has stopped unexpectedly.
ER.RECODING
Unable to send buffer to device. 0.5.41472000.122880.5000

- the SDI Monitor output is black with sound when using SDI 1 as output and without sound when using others SDIs.

someone would have advice and good practicse to use our system effectively.

thank you in advance

I'm trying to diagnose the same issue here. The internal ports work fine, but the output will only play for about 5 seconds then give the error you mention about the Recording stopped.

In regards to the output issue,
first make sure the latest drivers are installed from the AJA web site.
(This should be 14.2.1)

If the problem still occurs, open up Device Manager in Windows and right click and disable
the AJA Audio device (under Sound, Video and Game Controllers) and restart.

Note, this does not disable audio support for the IO4K Plus, it just disables the audio speaker
device that is added to Windows, which is not needed to use the outputs in vMix.

I made the change in Device Manager and restarted. The problem is now gone and I'm not getting any error message when starting the external feed. Thanks a bunch. Just another reason why vMix, and vMix Support ROCKS
